We offer both Bed and Breakfast and stunning Self Catering accommodation for those who prefer the "do it yourself" option.
Airport Transfers
Transfers to and from Cape Town International Airport can be arranged. Please contact us. Tours and shuttle available by arrangement.
Bar
Malaika Lodge offers an honesty bar located at the stunning pool deck area.
BBQ
BBQ facilities are available for the convenience of guests. Wood supplied at an additional cost.
Beauty and Body Treatments
There are numerous beauty salons and spas in close proximity to Malaika Lodge. If you however prefer, you can have the Spa come to you in the privacy of your own suite.
Breakfast
Breakfast is offered upon request at a surcharge. Additional meals are also available by arrangement. Picnic baskets can be catered for by prior arrangement.
Check In/Check Out
Check in time from 14H00.
Check out time is 10h00. Should you require a late departure, please advise us and we will assist where possible. We can make arrangements to store your luggage until you leave.
Children
Children are most welcome at Malaika Lodge although notice must be taken that no children may be allowed to make use of the pool without the supervision of an adult at any time.

Fire
If there is a fire please alert other guests and management. Proceed to the parking area. There are fire extinguishers strategically placed throughout the guest house.
Fireplace
There is a beautiful fireplace in the spacious communal lounge area where you can enjoy a crackling winter fire and the stunning mountain views.
Hairdryers
Hairdryers are available upon request for your convenience.
Housekeeping
Towels will be changed twice a week. Cleaning and change of bedding will be done once a week. Additional cleaning/changing is offered at a small additional cost. Please enquire upon reservation.
Internet Facilities
We offer free WiFi access throughout the property.
Keys
A set of keys with remote for the gates are provided to each guest. Please be kind enough to return these to reception upon departure. Lost keys will be charged for.

A laundry service is provided upon request at a small additional fee.

Restaurant Booking
If you would like us to make restaurant reservations, we will be happy to assist. During High season the popular restaurants are often fully booked. May we suggest that you make your reservations early. Some recommended restaurants are included in our room brochures.
Security
We reside in a historically safe area but would appreciate that you keep the gates closed. Don't leave clothing or valuables in your car. Safes are available in each suite/cottage.
Shuttle Service
We are happy to provide a shuttle service to and from Cape Town International Airport upon prior arrangement. Please contact us for arrangements.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted indoors. Please make use of designated areas on the patios and garden where ashtrays have been placed for your convenience.
Television
We provide Channels SABC 1,2,3 and eTV for your viewing pleasure in the main communal lounge area.
Tours and Transport
Tours and transport can be arranged for your convenience. We are centrally situated to all of Hout Bay and Cape Town's wonderful tourist attractions and are able to arrange wonderful day tour packages for you. Please contact us for arrangements.
Universal Adaptors
Universal adaptors are available upon payment of a fully refundable deposit.
South Africa uses a 220 volt system.
Water Quality
Tap water is of excellent quality and drinkable. As water is a precious commodity, please save wherever possible.
